Tatiana Smith , MA, LPC-S
M.A. in Professional Counseling
My name is Tatiana Smith and I am from Chicago, IL, born and raised! I moved to Texas for college and decided to make it home back in 1999. I enjoy spending time with my dog Sophie, cooking, traveling, and hanging out with friends and family!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas. I received a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University and am a member of the Texas Counseling Association. I specialize in helping individuals and couples find freedom from depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, anger, addictions, and marital issues. In addition, I specialize in walking couples through the process of finding happiness again within their marriage through focusing on communication, intimacy, and other relationship differences. I enjoy working with couples, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families as they work through their current difficulties toward self-awareness, wholeness, and healing.
My approach to therapy is a Reality Psychotherapy approach that integrates complementary methodologies and techniques and is uniquely tailored to each client. My Reality Psychotherapeutic approach includes providing clients with an opportunity to develop a sense of self wherein they can realize how their attitudes, feelings and behaviors are being negatively affected and can then make an effort to find their true positive potential. With all that said, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and guide you into a life that you can celebrate! So, if you are looking for some extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, marriage, decision or new direction in your life, I can help you with that and I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals!

I obtained a Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M University Commerce in 2015. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern supervised by Tatiana Smith, MA, LPC-S. As a result, my approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which focuses on how thoughts are connected to feelings and actions.
I specialize in working with adolescents dealing with substance use, depression, anger, self-esteem, abuse and neglect, peer pressure, and identity concerns. I also have experience assisting adults managing and recovering from issues including: substance use and abuse, depression, emotional regulation, communication skills, abuse and neglect, anxiety, and anger. Forrest Timmons, MA, LPC-Intern
My name is Forrest Timmons and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern supervised by Tatiana Smith, MA, LPC-S.
I have lived in McKinney for almost a decade and am fortunate to have become a husband and father of three during that time. I earned my Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2012. For the past 4.5 years I have worked for the State of Texas as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. In this role, I utilize Humanistic and Client-Centered counseling techniques to cultivate personal growth and empower clients towards resolution of the problems they are facing. I work with individuals diagnosed with conditions such as Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Adjustment Disorders, and an array of physical disabilities to overcome their limitations and obstacles to reach their goals. A large part of this role is helping individuals develop a better understanding of how their symptoms are affecting them and helping create a plan of action that will allow them to take control of their symptoms and reach these goals.
I specialize in helping individuals address the habits and thought processes they seek to change by guiding them through a workable, realistic plan, focused on addressing the barriers they have encountered. I am experienced in working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues, as well as those with limitations associated with communication, and social skills. I have a special interest in helping soon to be and new parents navigate the adjustments in daily life that come with having a newborn. I look forward to working with you towards the changes you are pursuing in life!
