Tatiana Smith Robinson, M.A., LPC-S

My name is Tatiana Smith and I am from Chicago, IL, born and raised! I moved to Texas for college and decided to make it home back in 1999. I enjoy spending time with my dog Sophie, cooking, traveling, and hanging out  with friends and family!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Texas. I received a Master of  Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University and am a member of the Texas Counseling Association. I specialize in helping individuals and couples find freedom from depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, anger, addictions, and marital issues. In addition, I specialize in  walking couples through the process of finding happiness again within their marriage through focusing on communication, intimacy, and other relationship differences. I enjoy working with couples, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families as they work through their current difficulties toward self-awareness, wholeness and healing.

My approach to therapy is a Reality Psychotherapy approach that integrates complementary methodologies and techniques and is uniquely tailored to each client. My Reality Psychotherapeutic approach includes providing clients with an opportunity to develop a sense of self; wherein, they can realize how their attitudes, feelings and behaviors are being negatively affected. This understanding then allows them to make an effort towards finding their true positive potential. With all that said, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and guide you into a life that you can celebrate! So, if you are looking for some extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, marriage, decision or new direction in your life, I can help you with that and I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals!

John Whitfield, M.A., LPC - Associate Supervised by Tatiana Smith Robinson LPC-S

My name is John Whitfield and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Tatiana Smith, MA., LPC-S. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I currently live in Fort Worth, Texas with my family of which I am a proud husband and father of 3 very different, but awesome young men and a new little daughter who is my joy.

I received my Bachelors degree from Texas A&M-Commerce and my Masters of Divinity from Brite Divinity School. I am an ordained minister in the Christian Church where I have been active in ministry for more than 15 years and currently serve as the leader of Growth and Small Groups for Harvest United Methodist Church. I graduate from Amberton University with my Masters in Professional Counseling.

While I was born and raised in Texas, I am a huge Minnesota Vikings fan...not sure how that happened. I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, playing golf and trying to keep my dogs Serena and Ace from tearing up my lawn...which they find funny.

I enjoy helping individuals, couples and families work through their life’s struggles as they live into the fullness of their best self while working to build and improve current and future relationships.  My approach to counseling strives to engage, encourage and empower the person or people as they seek understanding of their current dilemma. My passion is being able to see someone grow in their understanding of their ability to make better choices and accomplish life goals and dreams.  My goal is to support clients in their life’s journey while inspiring them to face whatever stresses or life events that they may encounter.

So if you’re ready to take the first step, I’m ready to meet you there and walk with you on your journey!

Crystal Sims, LPC-Student

Hello, my name is Crystal Sims, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Student

supervised by Tatiana Smith, M. A., LPC-S and Liberty University. Prior to pursing a M.A. in

Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty, I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Liberty

University.

I have over 5 years of counseling and mental health experience, with individual that range from 11 to 85 years old for individuals, couples and groups. My experience includes, but not limited to working as a Program Therapist for groups of adults and adolescents with mood, anxiety and eating disorder, being a Career Counselor for at-risk-youth ages 15-21, providing Spiritual individual, pre-marital, and marital counseling at a local church, and conducting mental health assessments as a clinician at a mental health hospital for all age groups. I take an eclectic approach to counseling by applying the most effective method available to address client’s unique and individual needs. I have a passion for helping those that struggle with past trauma, anxiety, and depression, and because I have theology training and Spiritual Counseling experience, I feel comfortable integrating and discussing spirituality as a part of treatment if desired by the client.

I was born and raised in East Texas, but I am a current resident of Collin County. My husband

and I moved to this area in 2005 to start our family, and now we are proud parents of twin sons,

who have developed into exceptional young men. When I’m not providing therapy or working

to complete my counseling degree, I can be found enjoying being a baseball mom for my twin

sons, dating and vacationing with my husband, and going to brunch with my friends.

I look forward to building therapeutic relationships with clients in a judgment free space where

the client can feel safe, encouraged, and educated. My goal is to work as a partner with my

individual or couple clients, in a way where I can be used as a resource to assist them in

exploring areas in their lives that concern them, identifying root causes, exploring the root cause

to obtain understanding, and then creating and implementing plans for improvement or heal in

those areas. So, if you’re ready to walk toward a better future and willing to work through your past, I’m ready to walk and work with you!
